Water Data

Residential Water. In April 2020, the Board began collecting data on residential and irrigation water consumption by reading water meters for both uses. Although water was a significant percentage of the budget, it had never received rigorous tracking and analyzing. The first step was to build a dataset of water charges, starting with 2018 bills, and following consumption in up-to-date reports. This work eventually led to the bimonthly bill report that owners and residents currently receive. Access more of this discussion in the menu above.

Irrigation Water. In 2022, Water consumption for the Association took a fraction over 31% of the total budget and irrigation took a large portion of those funds. Moreover, when the Board began surveying all of the sprinkler heads the challenge grew. The system needed a thorough inspection, equipment needed repairing, and a model of future use had to be developed. The system is relatively old, designed for a landscape that, in some areas, does not exist, and needs readjusting, repairing, or replacing. Access more of this discussion in the menu above.
